Dieter Willemse back home
on the 17th of april 2012 i crashed on my hometrack during a training, my stumach was hurt. we went immidiatly to the hospital and they said my liver was ragged. i had to stay in the hospital for 2 weeks, one of those weeks on intense care. i felt very bad those weeks, but day by day i was feeling better and better(stil not good). right now i'm back home for about 2 weeks, i feel pretty good right now. it doesn't hurt anymore but the doctor told my i had to rest til the end of this month.

Chris best Birthday Party
i had a super good day. i didn’t ecspect that there were anything when i came home. but when i arraived to my house there were cars all over the place and i could see the huge red bull tent. and when i got out of the car there were around houndred people looking at me. when i saw that red bull had made me a sprint track with a benzink gate and a huge asphalt turn i was so happy, and didn’t knew what to say!it was the best birthday gift i ever could get!

Belgian Championship Keerbergen
Lauren Stevens and Karo Vertessen are both Belgian Champion! They were clearly the strongest.
Jona Laenen en Ynske Van Tichelt finished at podium spot 3. They rode highly motivated and fought to the finish.
Jarne Noyens was able to take the 4th place and Maarten Verhoeven the 7th place.
Wout Geukens crashed in his third moto. His thigh was
badly bruised and his pelvis tilted.
Mathijs Verhoeven fell in the semi and lost his chance at the
title.
Sten Sauvillers also had bad luck in the semifinal. He had a
good start but was hit on the rear wheel, went out of his clicks
and couldn’t come back.

UK Race Report´s Birmingham
Weather was very bad for the Birmingham Nationals which made conditions very tricky for all riders.
Good placing in the motos and semi saw him through to the final on the Saturday. Unfortunately riders stamping their feet at the back of the start gate resulted in him missing his timing on the gate and nearly going over the bars! He chased back from last place to finish a creditable 3rd.
A repeat of the weather on the Sunday and also excellent performances in the motos and semi resulted in a place in the final. No such mistake on the gate today through! An excellent gate and first straight saw him pull a gap on the chasing riders going into the first corner. A perfect lap rewarded him with an excellent 1st. Place and extend his lead in the overall championship.

This weekend didn't see me at my best, on Saturday my motos went ok with 1st and 2nds but my legs were like lead and as I went into the semis I found it really hard to find
the strength to gate properly and being in the 16's class when your behind it's hard to catch up and I got more and more frustrated with myself. I made it through to the final
but along the first straight I got pushed into another rider and as he took off for the next jump, I sort of got caught on his arm and went down. The fact that my Club team mate
won the race made me feel abit better ;)
Sunday went abit better, I won all motos and semi and went into the final feeling more confident. Gate was better and was in a great position in 4th to swoop under them all but
I got caught up in the berm and then had too much work to do, I finished in 3rd place.

On day 1 I got a 2nd place and two 1st places in my motos. In my semi I picked lane 2 as I had first pick and also won my semi. In the final I had second pick and so chose lane 3. As it had been quite wet that day, the gate was very muddy and wet. Unfortunately, my wheel span on the gate and I was in 8th. I managed to finish in 6th but was very disappointed.
On day two, I came 1st in all of my motos. I also won my semi. In the final I had gate three. I had a great gate and was leading to the first jump however I did not come across enough so was in second. I was right behind but had to settle for second.

Belgium National #2 Keerbergen
Lauren Stevens riding junior and elite men got a second place in
the final after winning his motos and semi.
Karo Vertessen and Wout Geukens got the first place in the final as
well as in the ranking.
Jona Laenen did very well with a third place in the final. In
his semi he slipped at the gate but didn’t hesitate. He fought his
way back from eight to third place.
Mathijs Verhoeven had bad luck in the quarter. He had a great
start and immediately got a nice lead. But he slipped in the
second turn and slammed into the bricks. Outside a black eye,
he is fortunately not hurt.
Ynske van Tichelt rode a good race with a fourth place in the final
junior and elite women.
Jarne Noyens took a fith place in the final.
Sten Sauvillers his quarter final was good but stranded in the
semi. He finished third in the B-final.

Topcompetition 1, Ravels, Belgium 25/03/2012
Almost all the 1step2win riders from Belgium and the Netherlands
rode their first race of the national season at Ravels. The
first impression of our riders is promising.
Sam Van Oss, Karo Vertessen and Wout Geukens were able to take the
first place. Jens Van Luytelaar and Lauren Stevens finished
in third place. Nevertheless an achievement of Lauren as
junior with the elite.

News from Pim de Jong
Almost 2 months back i broke both bones in my left arm.
I got surgery the day after my crash in Kortrijk.
If got 2 titanium plates on both bones with 13 screws total.
A few days back i had to go to a doctor for some new photos.
The doctor told me that my bones not yet grown together after
alsmost 2 months :(
He told me that i can't ride my bike for another 7 weeks !
So for me this season is over !
But maybe i can ride my back again before The Worlds.
But for now i cant do much with my BMX bike, i just cycle on my
roadbike to stay healthy and conditioneel to maintain good.
More things i cant do right now, only some workout for my legs,
back and belly.
I hope to be back soon but i can not say that.
Maybe i come back faster than before :P
I just gonna ride with friends for fun this year because
i dont like to be very serious anymore, Not at this
time.

great trainingweekend with the 1s2w group
the last weekend we´ve had a great and learnfull weekend
with 3 differend tracks and many training hours.
First we went to luiksgestel where they built a big and amazing
track which looks like a SX track without 8mtrs
starthill.
We did great technical sessions with the boys and girls.
Second track in row was Ravels where the training was buizzy
becausse it was a open session for all riders.
There were a lot of dutch people who trained there.
Again a good session but the best was in track number 3
Veldhoven.
The group makes progression and everybody make theire own level
higher and higher on there way to the 2012 outdoor season.
2 weeks left for the 1st race in Belgium and 10 weeks till the
worlds in Birmingham and I´m happy to see the
progression in the group.
All Riders follow theire way and go 4 it - belief in all they
like to do and all they want to reach!
In the next weeks we will travel with some riders to Erlangen
(Germany) and Lumbres (France) for the final session before the
season start 2012.

six 1step2win riders at caen indoor
good organised Indoor Race again held at the Caen Expo Center last weekend.
The youngest of the 1s2w riders, Karo Vertessen had a crash on saturday in the half final but she showed us all her level on sunday with a 3rd place in the final.
Jona Laenen and Mathijs Verhoeven had on both days to pass the 1/16 final. On saturday they rode through the 1/8 but did´nt reach the first 4 places - so they were out of competition. Sunday the end for them came one round earlier in the 1/16.
On both days it was not Donny´s race - he was out in the motos.
Lauren Stevens did a very good job on saturday. He made a very fast first lap at the back wheel from Moana Moo-Callie. In the 1/8 final he had a crash after a good gate in the open elite/juniors class.
On sunday he wasn´t fit and had a totaly "off" day - hopefully next time better.
Nadja did an amazing job in elite/junior open class, takes very good snaps from the gate, but had a bad luck in the final on position nr 3 at the back wheel from magalie pottiere and eva ailloud she crashed at the 2nd turn. On sunday she takes the holeshot in semi in front of again the world nr 3 magalie pottiere elite women but made a mistake in the final at the 2nd straight so she got finaly the 5th place.

CAEN Indoor 2012
I had a great weekend at the indoor race in Caen/ F last
weekend.
It was not easy because I had to race together with the French
elite girls.
On Saturday i took the backwheel of Eva Ailloud in the quater and
qualified for semi. There i got 2nd again. With a good start in the
Final i was right behind Ailloud and Pottier. After the first turn
I was 4th but got back on 3rd place after 2nd straight. After a
crash in the 2nd turn i got 8.
Sunday was also a good race. With 2,2,2 I qualified easily for the
semi. There I took the holeshot in front of Magalie Pottier and
Elke van Hoof. After a little mistake at the end of the 2nd
straight Pottier passed me. So again a 2nd place brought me to the
final. The Final was not a very "clean" race so after a lot
of ellbow contacts in the turns I finally got 5th.

Supercross Venue change for the Norwegian round
The second round of the 2012 UCI BMX Supercross, to be held in
Norway next April 13th and 14th, has been moved to a new indoor
venue in Randaberg.
The Randaberg Arena is just seven kilometres away from the
originally planned outdoor venue in the centre of Sandnes. This
slight change means the event will not be affected in the event of
bad weather.
Although this will be the first time that a round of the UCI BMX
Supercross is held in the country, Norway hosted the 2010 European
Championships and the 1991 BMX World Championships in Sandnes. The
Norwegian Cycling Federation took part in the seminar held at the
World Cycling Centre last week for all organisers of the 2012
Supercross series.
The 2012 UCI BMX Supercross, managed by Global Supercross Events
Inc, comprises four rounds. After Randaberg the series will stop
over in Papendal (NED) on May 12th and 13th, then Abbotsford (CAN)
on September 14th and 15th.

Simone in US for a ABA Race
Last week I went on a trip with the danish national team to
Oldsmar, Florida. We already had problems at our first flight to
Amsterdam. It was delayed because of the snowy weather. So
therefore we also missed our flight to Detroit, but with a bit of
luck, we were in Orlando sunday noon. But our bikes and lugage
didn't arive with us. Monday it came to our hotel in Oldsmar, but
it was raining so hard we couldn't go training. But after this we
had some good trainings in Oldsmar! There was pro training from
tuesday and the rest of the week because of the race in the
weekend, so we were training with a lot of good riders, which was
very cool! Just before i went to the US I had a chrash, so I had a
lot of problems with my thumb and hip, but it got better and better
during the week.
The track in Oldsmar was so awesome! More european style than US,
with pretty big jumps for me, and also with a pretty steep rythm
section on the last straight. I never rode a track which was so
smooth, you could even see marks from the tires when you landed. I
felt good on the track besides my small injury, but I found the
gate very hard. It was really slow, and the hill was flat in the
top, but steep after 1-2 meters, so it was pretty difficult to
figure out.
The race in the weekend, Gator Nationals, was a big one. There were
a lot of riders, but not very many in Junior Women. Too bad! We
were only 6 saturday and 5 sunday. But we still rode 3 motos, and
after that the final main. Saturday i got 1,1,3 in the motos, and
ended up with a 2nd place in the main. Sunday it went even better.
I won all my motos and also the main. So a good weekend for me, and
really nice to try to race in the US, never tried that before, and
it is very different from the races in Europe. Even though we
weren't many riders, the level of each rider was high.

Last weekend the biggest sportsevent in europe with all the high
society people took place in Wiesbaden/Frankfurt. It is a prom for
all celebrities who love and support german top athletes. After the
people have finished their dinner, they go outside the dining hall
where a few sport stations were built up for watching and also for
to try it out by themselves. Me, as well as 3 other german riders
were invited to present our sport there and help the VIPs if they
also want ro try it. It was a great night!! :)

good news from bad injuries...
I´ve had contact with Aneta
Hladikova and Pim de
Jong last week ..
Aneta told me she is really on her way
back.
After a bad injury the sun is again in her life.
She is in therapy now to her rehabilitation after broken
back.
Next week she start the therapy programme also for upperbody.
Hopefully she will recover soon - so ANNIE ....all
the best.... with this in next weeks.
Pim de Jong has after his broken arm in Kortrijk
also good news for me and himself.
They operated the arm and there is no plaster anymore, he feels
good and almost no pain.
After his test he can start to do some bikework on the roller
and hopefully soon back on the BMX to start sprint work.
Track sessions are too early so he has to wait but if you have
a look outsite its no probleme for him i think, haha...

Sam van Oss makes on saturday her first
European final ever and even on sunday she makes it till second in
the main in girls 11/12.
In JM Lauren Stevens makes it as well to the
2nd Place in the main final of round 8 after chrashed in
3rd possition in round 7 semi final.
Great job and well done Lauren.
Also for Chris Christensen who cames in firts
saturday and second on sunday in boys 15/16
in this group. Mathijs Verhoeven did very well till his
crash on sunday in 3rd moto.

teammate Jona Laenen chrashed in the first turn and
goes out.
Both boys did a very good job and looks very strong.
In JM Imro Kokelaar has a day off

Ryan Stack makes it till semis and has his

Good Results in Kortrijk
all in one the riders did a very good job - on Saturday Chris took the first place in boys 15/16
his sister Simone did it also in the junior women class - Nadja took second.
On sunday we´ve had in the championship class also Lauren Stevens with a second place in

UK National Indoor Race Report
hello everybody,
almost ready for the 1st european race in 2012 in Kortrijk
Belgium.
Most of our riders did only train last weeks but in england starts
the national competition last week with round 1 at manchester
indoor track.
Ethan
Vernon was inmidiatly on fire with racing one age
group higher final.
After winning his motos, quarter and semi, he made it till the 2nd
in his first main.
Great job after hard working in wintertraining.

Stack was last weeks sick and did no training so her
resuld was not that good but for sure she will be back in summer
time.

bad news from Aneta Hladikova
I got bad news today. Went to train to Slovakia last week and due to fallen chain (don't know why, I checked that several times during training) I crashed and today got results from CT scan that showed 2 fractures in vertebra's area in upper back. It shouldn't be anything serious, but I can't race with it in Belgium. And they recommended rest for min next 3 weeks, damn it, shit happens... hello from me to all my mates;)

7 weeks afther his shoulder operation Chris
Christensen is back on his bike.
last week the pins goes out and Chris is back in training.
We´ll see him back on the track in Belgium.
Aneta Hladikova still fight with her bad
shoulder.
After her crash at the SX in the USA
she still has pain and problems with her shoulder.
it costs time; x-rays showed factures on 1st and 2nd vertebra and
smaller space between
them and some damage on 3rd and 4th vertebra.
Annie try to get fit
again for the 2012 indoor in Kortrijk and for the 2012 Olympic
qualifications in SX USA, Norway and Papendal (the netherlands) ass
well the worlds in Birmingham in may.

European Round 5 and 6 in Geneva / CH

Hello everybody,
21 till 23th of october we got round 5 and 6 in the
elite and junior european champs in the sunny
geneve.
Proud to present the best track of the last years in geneve
switzerland in the european series and for sure the most
beautifully races from 2011/2012.
It was a big show and good bmx atmosphere, have a look at schijfbmx.nl or bmxvideos.com.
After the friday training the feeling was good.
We had in the competition a lot of 1s2w riders.
Ethan Vernon and
Lauren Stack fron the
UK, Karo Vertessen,
Lauren Stevens and
Mathijs Verhoeven
from Belgium, Nadja
Pries from Germany, Simone
Christensen from Denmark,
Aneta Hladicova from
the Chech Republic and from the Netherlands Donny v Osch, Pim de Jong
and Imro Kokelaar and
also my club buddy Kean vd
Dijsel from the Valkenswaard BMX Club.
In blok 1 we had Ethan
Vernon with and stong 3th place on saturday and a
good 4th on Sunday race after qualifying ass 4th in a semi which
looks like the main.
Than the Young girls 13/14, Karo
Verstessen got 2 times
2nd (saturday/sunday) in the mains and knocking really
on the backdoor of the world champion in her age group.
In the same age UK`s Lauren
Stack got 2 times
6th.
From Belgium Mathijs
Verhoeven goes home after the quarters but ass
youngest age in 15/16 and 1/8 finals past he was on fire with wins
in the motos on sunday he ride his best race in years even he
didn`t make the semi or main in this big and highest level
race in the last 2 years..
Round 5 and 6 in the 2012 european championchips was great
in junior women with both days the same podium,
Nadja Pries in 2nd and Simone Christensen in 3rd
shows their levels and shows that they are the
most technical womens in this group with smooth jumps and cool
manuals.
Simone is still 3rd
in ranking and Nadja
4th .
In elite women Aneta
crashed in day 1 final but took a 3th place in round 6 and is in
podium places in ranking 3 after 6 rounds.

In junior men all boys
came till quarterfinals only Pim de
Jong made it till semi.
all by all a good and educational
weekend.
happy with the 3 months break so we can focus on training and
family things.

Zolder - last TC in Belgium for 2011
Sunday the last race of the Belgium Topcompetition (Belgium Nationals) took place at Zolder.
Lauren Steven (Boys16), Karo Vertessen (Girls 12-14) and Wout Geukens (Boys10) continued their success of the last National races with another National win.
Jona Laenen (Boys15) and Elien Bogaerts (Girls 12-14) were very fast on the track and they took the 2nd place.
Mathijs Verhoeven (Boys14) won his semi. He had a good start in his final but made a mistake in the first straight which caused him his first position and he finished 3rd.
Sten Sauvillers also was qualified for the final and he finished 8th.
Ynske Van Tichelt (Girls 15+) was 5th in her semi but she won the B-final.
All the Belgium riders made it to the top 8 of the final ranking of the Topcompetition.
Lauren Stevens (Boys16), Mathijs Verhoeven (Boys 14), Karo Vertesen (Girls 12-14) and Wout Geukens (Boys 10) took the 1st place.
Jona Laenen (Boys 15) and Elien Bogaerts ( Girls 12-14) were able to take the 2nd spot on the podium.
Sten Sauvillers did great with a 6th place in the ranking.
And last but not least Ynske Van Tichelt (only 15 years old) managed to get the 8th place in the category Girls 15+.

!!!! weekend to forget as soon as possible !!!
we were back in klatovy for round 3
and 4 in the European champ 2012
and how
!!!!!!
After the Friday training it looked
so good for our riders.
Good gates, smooth on the track and strong first lines.
Then when we wake up at Saturday it was raining time and the track
was soft and very bad.
In the challenge we had karo and ynske.
They had trouble because of the mud and it was to
heavy but these young girls fought very hard and showed there
respect
karo vertessen got
2nd in girls 13/14, the same on Sunday.
ynske got 6th in
final both days in girls 15 and over.
Then the Saturday round 3 in elite/ junior was
cancelled.
The organisation decided to race both rounds on
Sunday because of the bad weather conditions on Saturday.
Sunday we started on an very bad track and we rode only 2 motos in
both rounds.
I don’t want to think back to this horrible day , organisation and
track.

jong in round 4 with a 5th place in junior men
final and simone
christensen did it very well with a
2nd place in round 3 and an 3rd in round
4 in jw..
hopefully we will have a good track and also a good weekend
in Geneva.

Trainingsweekend UK / Pure Bicycles
Last weekend I had a trainingsweekend at the privat
trainingtrack of pure
bicycles in england.
A very nice 430mtrs long track in the backyard of pures owner
rob.
The weather was lovely and togetter
with josh
peters , lauren and ryan
stack and ethan vernon we had a 2 days training
session.
At least I will say welcome at the 1s2w trainings centre
2 belgium talents , karo
vertessen (girls 14) and inske v tigheld (girls
16).

latest news about chris, the man, christensen
chris makes it okay and hopefully in 8 or 10 weeks he has his 2nd
operation so they will took the pins out the collarbone again.
we will see him back on the european BMX track in Kortrijk /

championships in the main when he was batteling at first
position.
First it looks very bad and the ambulance bring him to the
hospital, chis is still in there.
His sister simone took a
3place in elite women after she hit the gate in the main.

brought his pure bike till an 2nd place in the main afther an very
good and strong compitition during the day.
Good job afther weeks of injury with his broken arm.
Looking a lot comfier and stronger on the bike, Ethan looked good in practice at Cheddar for the Brits.
It was clear he was feeling confident as he dominated the motos, quarters and semi taking wins in all.
He was again feeling confident to take the win in the final but being a little too eger, went a bit too early and hit the gate.
Edging out in front down the first straight was not quite enough for him to move across and take the advantageous line into first corner.
A closely fought battle and a couple of attempts to make a move were not quite enough to take the win but a well deserved 2nd. was a good

TC 4 Zoetermeer
Last weekend september 17 and 18 we had the national
Topcompetition in Zoetermeer.
Its close to Rotterdam and The Hage and also to the seaside.
It was very windy with a lot of rain and so the races were havy
with a lot of mud.
Everything was okay till the semis .
Imro
Kokelaar goes out and Pim de Jong chrashed so only
Donny v Osch
makes the main for 1step2win.
Donny is on
his trip back to the biggest level he had and makes it after a
good gate in the mud to a 4th possition in the junior men
final.
The young kids of my club Valkenswaard did it very well.
Many finals again so also for world nr 6 in boys 7 and under
Casper
Pipers, he made it till 2nd Place after loosing his
pedales at the first straight and starts from the last possision.
Amazing job how strong this little boy comes back.
Nina vd Boom
had her first race after 5 months of injury (broken leg and ankle)
and makes it till 4th position in girls 13/14.
Also Sam v
Oss (girls 9-10 years) and her brother
Stef (boys
8) made it till the mains with a great 3th place for
Sam and a
7th for Stef..

Belgium TC / Czech Republic national Championships
Lauren Stevens (16) and Mathijs Verhoeven (14) got 2nd at the belgium topcompetition
in ravels with Jona Leanen (15) and Donny v Osch (16) in 3th

Aneta Hladikova is the new national elite woman champion of the czech-republic.
Past weekend 10.9.-11.9. 2011 national championship in Czech republic was held in Mikovice/ Uherske Hradiste. Saturday´s race was the most important race of year for challenge categories, because the winners took the title of CZ champion! It was also 3rd round of CZ national championship for Junior and Elite men. We had little bit over 200 riders and beatiful weather for racing! For once girls didn´t compete with boys 15/16, but in lonely category EW 15+. I was able to win all my motos with comfortable lead and took another national champion title for 12th time in my career. JM/EM race was won by rider from Slovakia - Milan Krebs, Stepan Tumpach got 2nd and Petr Mühlhans 3rd. Another national championhip was held on sunday - this time for Clubs and teams. As we don´t have many riders in my club, we didn´t participate in this race that was won by team from Mikovice - Tufir team.

Valkenswaard EC Round 1 + 2
We just finished round 1 and 2 in the 2012 bmx
season.
Round 1 and 2 was held in valkenswaard, my hometrack.
This was the first weekend with all my riders in one big team area
and it was great.In the boys category 15/16 the 15 year old
Mathijs Verhoeven from
belgium made it till the 1/4 finals and Jona Leanen, also from Belgium, till the semi on
sunday.
Chris Christensen after his
2nd place at the worlds he took also here a 2nd place in the main
on Saturday as well as on Sunday.
We had a good start in Round 1 in the championship class category
junior women with Nadja Pries
who took a 3rd place and with simone
christensen who was back on her bike after a crash in
haaksbergen. She made a good 4th place in the main.
In junior men Donny v Osch finished, as well as Imro Kokelaar in the 1/4 final.
Pim de Jong crashed in 1st
position on saturday but made with a 3rd place the podium on
sunday, great job Pim. Also
for the new man in this jm group Lauren Stevens from belgium it was a successful weekend.
He took a 6th place in the final on saturday and made a quater on
Sunday. These Results bring ...
... after 2 rounds Lauren to a 6th place in the ranking and Pim gets 5th in jm.
Simone 3th and Nadja 4th in jw.
With an 2nd an 3th place from Aneta
Hladikova we had a big weekend with our
trainingschool.
